Dasha Maha Vidya

All powers of God are manifest in man, whether one realises it or not. If one realises God, he becomes God. Otherwise, he continues to believe that he is not God and searches for Godhood outside of him. ~ Sri Sri Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswathi.

The paths to realising one’s true nature manifest in many forms and names. The Dasa Mahavidyas represent ten paths in guiding the spiritual seeker toward liberation. Each of the ten paths (Dasha Mahavidya) is a self-sufficient guide that strikes at the root of ego, destroys it and burns up all the karmas.
Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari (Shodadi), Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi, Chandi, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala are the names of the ten paths. The ultimate goal is the same in each case – integrating all forms into one Godliness, which is identical to Self.
